POW! African Belle

March 14, 2011 //  by Uju//  4 Comments

It’s the question people always ask me, ‘So when are you gonna go for a girl?’

Having been blessed with two absolutely delicious boys, it’s not often that I long for a little madame.

Apart from maybe when I stumble across a web site like the Native Belle Boutique, stocking gorgeous dresses for girls aged 2 to 12 using Ghanaian fabrics.

I can just imagine a mini-me twirling around in this vivid, red Kookoowa dress (£65) embossed with streamlined knife-pleats.

Perfect for play or party time.

It’s 100% Irish linen and cotton but the styling’s Afro-fabulous.

Check out more of the collection at Native Belle Boutique

It’s so funny how people assume that you are missing something if you had children of one sex ‘only’. I am not a VB fan, but the public guessing and assuming must have freaked her out.

Hi Deborah, you’re right. I’ve written on this before but it’s one of those hot button topics that always fascinates. VB had been reported before as ‘craving a girl’ so I did wonder what the reaction would be if it had turned out to be boy number 4.
