Despite grim weather forecast and fire brigade strike, thousands of Londoners will be heading to these hotspots to watch the sparks fly for Guy Fawkes Night.

Clapham Common Fireworks
Lambeth hosts bonfires, display by Kimbolton Fireworks, starts 7.30pm. Free (Nov 5)

Blackheath Common Fireworks
One of the biggest and brightest events on the historic heath in Lewisham. From 8pm, £1 donation (Nov 6)

Battersea Park Fireworks
Pyrotechnics in south London from Pains Fireworks, huge international food court, kicks off 6pm. Tickets £6, kids under 10 £1 (Nov 6)

Roundwood Park Fireworks
Spectacular display in Brent with sound system, hot dogs and children’s rides. Gates open 6.45pm, Free (Nov 6)

Victoria Park Fireworks
Stunning show in Tower Hamlets, E3 by Walk the Plank with soundtrack to remember the Blitz. 7.30-8.15pm, Free (Nov 7)
