When I received the sample from children’s event suppliers Lila’s Party in the mail, it was so prettily wrapped in tissue paper packaging I almost didn’t want to open it.
Inside were two sets of invites – one (featuring teddy character Beau Bear) to a naming ceremony, the other (featuring the Friendship Fairy) to a birthday party, requesting that the invitee wear the little bracelet attached to the card to the party as a sign of friendship. Just adorable!
It’s these sweet touches that make Lila’s Party products so appealing for parents looking to take the stress out of party-planning and to inject a little more fun into their kid’s events.
Created by mum of two Nicola Davison, Lila’s Party offers stationery and party boxes for any number of occasions including new arrivals, birthdays and christenings. Each box set comes complete with matching invites and thank you notes, as well as the extras like balloons, party ware, even printed napkins (although I can’t imagine wiping off a milk moustache on Beau Bear’s smart bow tie!)
All the stationery is hand-finished and you can even put together your own set in one of Lila’s Party’s bespoke packages.
There are no major celebrations planned in our household for now. But in February the birthdays come with a triple bang (mama and two boys), and I’m glad I know where to turn for something simple but ultra stylish.
