When I first had the idea for Babes about Town, I did a quick URL search and was stunned to find the domain name was available. Genius, I told myself humbly.
Since then, I’ve come across loads of blogs that, quite frankly, put my brilliance in the shade. Each month, I’m going to highlight my favourite, especially those linked to bloggers whose work I appreciate.
So, in no particular order:
- 10 Hot Blog Titles – February 2010
1. Parenting by Dummies – This one does what it says on the box (except it’s actually smart). And it’s funny. Very funny.
2. Last of the Mojitos – Warm and witty take on going from single gal to new mama.
3. Hot Cross Mum (pictured) – One mama and her one-a-penny’s worth. Great read.
4. WADS (not WAGS) – Wives, daughters and not a footballer in sight.
5. Domestic Goddesque – (Not quite) the perfect housewife but perfectly entertaining.
6. Notes from Lapland – Mummy blogging from (almost) Santa’s hood. How cool is that?
7. Peanut Butter & Pickles – Stuff you’ll crave.
8. Four Down, Mum to Go? – One mama raising 4 boys and living to tell the tale.
9. Bad Mothers Club – An open forum for misbehaving mums (and dads too).
10. This Mama Works It – A mother taking care of business with style and aplomb.

Hi there, thanks for visiting and you’re welcome. It’s a great title. And I’m feeling the same way about the blogosphere as I do when I enter a bookstore or library…sort of happy and greedy and dazed at the same time. So many blogs, so little time!
Picking out a website or blog name can be very frustrating, especially if you look up the address you really want and see that the person who got it first hasn’t used it in years. Good list!
Yeah or worse it’s a domain that’s ‘parked’ forever – basically someone wants you to buy it. Do check back for my March list, I’ve got some great ones coming!
