Hotel Chocolat Christmas Gift Boxes (12 Days of Xmas 2016)

December 9, 2016 by Uju 212 Comments

Hotel Chocolat Toasty Toddies

I’m bursting with excitement (not chocolate, honest!) to announce that luxury chocolatiers HOTEL CHOCOLAT will be the first in our 12 Days of Xmas 2016 giveaways. We’ve had some stellar prizes in our annual Christmas giveaways series, and it’s a delight to welcome some of my favourite brands back each year.

Hotel Chocolat are new to our 12 Days of Xmas giveaways and what better way to kick off this Christmas bonanza with some CHOCOLATE. Yup, I’m shouting, because I know you’re going to LOVE this prize.

Hotel Chocolat was kind enough to send us two of their Christmas chocolate boxes to try out, in the very important business of checking that they were up to scratch.

We sampled their Christmas Sleekster box, a festive version of one of Hotel Chocolat’s most popular chocolate boxes, aka The Sleekster.

Hotel Chocolat Christmas Sleekster

The Christmas Sleekster contains classics such as their caramels and pralines, as well as flavours like mulled wine, cranberries, nutmeg and cinnamon. Whether you like your chocs smooth and creamy, or crunchy with a twist, there’s something for everyone in the Christmas Sleekster box. They didn’t last long round at ours. The babes even gobbled up the cute little chocolate reindeer and Santa figures (I’ll admit I ate the dark chocolate penguin)!

We were also sent their Toasty Toddies that — since my man doesn’t like chocolate liqueurs and they were too boozy for the boys — became my own little indulgence. These exquisite sweets contain teeny helpings of Saint Lucian rum, blood orange and port or dark cherry brandy, encased in delicious white, milk and dark chocolate. And they certainly lived up to their name, giving me a mood lift as well as warming me up before I hit the school run. Cheers!

Chocolates make a delectable gift at any time of year and with Hotel Chocolat you’re guaranteed quality, thanks to their commitment to the true power of cocoa.
