Mums get Yummy at My Sugarland

September 24, 2010 by Uju 1 Comment

The word ‘mumsy’ has never been synonymous with style. And sometimes even the trendiest among us can fall into a fashion slump after pregnancy has its wicked way with our bodies.

That’s why celebrity stylist and mum of two Zoe Lem, the owner of vintage boutique My Sugarland, launched her monthly Sugarmummy events.

As the busy mama to a baby and a toddler, Zoe knows that what new mums crave is a little indulgence along with practical advice on putting outfits together that suit our lifestyles as well as our shapes.

Held on the third Monday every month, each Sugarmummy events features tips from Zoe and her team of stylists as well as talks from special guests on topics like weight management and nutrition.

It’s also a chance to browse the shop, enjoy a manicure or pedicure and meet local mums to have a chat over a cuppa and some sweet treats.

Babes about Town checked out the last Sugarmummy event in August and it was lovely to hang out in such a beautiful setting on a Monday morning.

Walking into My Sugarland is like entering a gorgeous storybook, something that might have been created by F Scott Fitzgerald. Everything from dresses to jewellery has been so elegantly put together it makes you want to strip off and step back in time.

But Zoe’s very much a modern mother and as such, Sugarmummy events are open to all types of mums. And unlike at some London boutiques, your kids are welcome too.

The next MSL Sugarmummy morning is on Sep 27, 10am-12pm. Entrance is free.

My Sugarland is at 402-404 St. Johns St, EC1V 4NJ. Visit the web site.

This place looks great! Too bad I’m on the other side of the world. Thanks for visiting during my SITS Day!
